Driving
Directions from Cancun Airport to Casa Cavu
Casa
Cavu is located approximately one hour and 15 minutes south
of the Cancun airport. Upon leaving the airport you will intersect
with Highway 307 which runs north and south. Highway 307 is
the main artery of the Maya Riviera. Follow the Chetumal sign
which will be to the right. As you proceed down hwy 307 follow
the Tulum signs.
One
hour down the coast the landmark you will watch for will be
XEL-HA Park which is a major tourist attraction. Exactly 8
km south of the park you will see a green road sign for Casa
Caribena (on the right) and a blue and white sign for Blue
Sky casitas (on the left at the entrance.) Turn left here,
when making left turns pull over to the far right shoulder
and wait until no cars are coming in either direction, then
make your left turn. After turning left you will be on a sand
frontage road. Turn left at the Casa Cenote sign which will
be about 50 yards and continue down the sand road which is
lined by mangrove. You will dead end into the beach approx.
1 kilometer, then turn left again. You will pass the private
homes. Look for Casa Caribena (yellow villa) and Casa Cavu
is the next villa. It is white and there are 3 lots in between
that are undeveloped. There is a sign on the road for the
property. If you see Villa de Paz or Casa Cenote you have
just passed the house!

Hola Bill,
We just got back from Casa Cavu, we had a blast! If anyone wants a recommendation about this property you can have them e-mail us. One thing the page on Casa Cavu needs to be more clear about is the care taker, Isidro. The page said he can cook. It does not explain that he was an executive Chef at a major Cancun resort. It was 3 days in our trip before we decided to give him a try. We quickly realized that you could not get a better meal anywhere than the ones prepared at Casa Cavu. It was a perfect week.
Thanks,
Mike & Sandy Mercer
