To meet up with Wes and Lydia around Noonish.

By the way the meal last night was just fantastic. Camarones al mojo de ajo and Pescado al mojo de ajo was what most had and it was just wonderful as always as were the Margaritas. Just wanted to throw that in.

I woke up early and jumped out of bed not wanting to miss anything. It was still just getting light.

Looking North from Casa Cenote, I just love this view.

Looking South from atop our Casitas Hey that is Carlos our next door neighbor from California

If you haven't noticed I enjoy the sunrises over Tankah they are just Awe inspiring to me......

Out in front of our Casitas you will find a hammoch chair and also chaise type sunning lounges.

That sliding glass door is the patio entrance to our Casitas #2 and #1 is on the right in the shadows,
sure do wish that it was really mine forever.....

I just can't take enough pictures of Casa Cenote

Watching the Caribe caress the beach is a joy to behold

Same sunrise another perspective

Hey there is that place again

Tankah Bay looking south from Casa Cenote out in front of our Casitas

We have had coffee delivered to the room and we are preparing for the hard day ahead. By the way Coffee is always delivered every morning while you stay at Casa Cenote unless you prefer Tea or some other beverage of your choice first thing in the morning. We enjoy our Coffee which has a touch of vanilla and cinnamon which really tastes great first thing in the morning after a long night of Margaritas. I have already walked down the beach picking up some trash that has washed up on the beach for my morning exercise. Now it is time for breakfast. By the way Breakfast and Lunch or Dinner is included in your stay at Casa Cenote, yes it is almost AI, all-inclusive with the exception of the drinks. What will you have for breakfast Lynn? Plato de Fruta Por Favor. And you bill? Okay now would it be okay to have an alvacado, tomatoes, two pieces of bacon and tortillas for my breakfast? Anything you like is great. So I start my new tradition of a very different type of breakfast. Now for a Bloody Mary with Celery, wow is that ever good. Great breakfast and off to town with Gray to do some shopping in Tulum. We visit the tortillarea and buy 15 kilos of corn tortillas for the making of chips to go with the wonderful salsa served up with every meal. Then off to get bread. That is the extent of our shopping this morning. We arrive back to Casa Cenote and find others staying here to be eating breakfast and we are introduced and visit for a while. Carlos and Sandra from California and geez total loss of memory..

We are just lying around today to get our heads and bodies on Mexican time.... slow down and smell the Caribe. There is some sunning and walking and lots of just hanging out under the palapa roof of the restaurant. Hummmm. Dos Dos Equis por favor. Yes we do have beer befor lunch. By the way we are also waiting for Wes to show up so we can show him around our part of the Quintana Roo. He spends most of his time in Cancun. Wes has a message board about Cancun. Click here to visit Cancun Lite Message Board. Lydia (SC) is also to meet us to meet Wes. Lydia is here to film the Vet. Clinic in Tulum that the Yucatan Animal Rescue Fondation is putting on. Wes is to catch a ride with someone down here from Cancun.

Lydia arrives about 12 noonish and say hey Bill and Lynn it is really good to see you again. We met Lydia last June at the Fiesta de Casa Cenote board party. Lydia is a charming lady that we enjoy very much. Where is Wes? Gee, Lydia I have no idea. He probably got tied up with something. His trip is just a long weekend and he had quite a load to do on a few days. I can relate as I always have many more ideas than I have time. We have lunch and talk about what she has been doing on her film of the QRoo and that there is interest with the Discovery people on it. Hey that is really Kewl. She has been filming the vets in action and has much to get coordinated yet as well as trying to sneak in a little vacation time as well. Well doesn't look like Wes is going to make it. Lydia gives me a gift that she has brought and also one for Wes in case he shows up. Bye bye Lydia we will see you around, if not sooner then on the 10th at the LOL-Ha. Hasta muy proto Amiga. Well as fate would have it Wes nevers show up so I will mail his gift when we get home. Wes you will never know what you missed as we will not tell you what we had planned for you. Maybe we will get to meet some other time and then you may find out that you would have really had a chance to know the Riviera Maya .... LOL.... but you did miss a really Kewl tme Amigo....

We meet a very nice couple from Vale, Colorado, Charlie and Linda. Now this year Peggy and Gray have had a turn over in employees so we are trying to get that change organized in our gift page so that we can get the gifts for them straightened out. We have gifts for the group that worked there in about Feb. Lynn sits down with Peggy and she gets her up to date. We now have a Camber Maid named Daisy that has down a super nice job of fixing up our room. We decide to tip her daily in case she needs to get some thing during the week.

We are still just lazing around today relaxing and taking in the wonders of our new "old" home away from home. Hey Juan how are you amigo? Juan Hemenez is the Artist that does finger painting, Leather painting, and stone carvings. He sells his wares at Casa Cenote. Juan shows me a painting on Leather he has done of a stone carving in Pelinque Ruins. It is just fantastic. I decide that I have to have it. It is something that I have always wanted, a leather painting by Juan. This painting is very detailed. He gives me a good deal. I take it and put it away befor I forget and leave it laying around and lose it.

I visit with many visitors to the restaurant and the Manati Cenote. They are from just about everywhere you can imagine. We don't ever venture away from Casa Cenote today.

It is 3:00 pm and the day shift is ready to go home. I invite them to sit at my table for a Shot of Tequila to
finish their work day and have their peers serve them. We toasted to another great day in the Mundo Maya.

As you can see the day has pasted and the guys have finished there shift and I have corrupted them with a Shot of Tequila. They bid us Hasta Manana and Gary takes them home. We continue to enjoy this lazy day and are beginning to feel like we are taking on Mexican time. More Cervezas, Lynn loves those Cheladas. They are two fingers of lime juice, ice and a salty rim in a glass and pour in your favorite brew, hers is Dos Equis. I personal just love Dos Equis with out the two fingers of lime juice and Ice. Cranberry Margaritas por favor. Yummm.. those Cranberry Margaritas are so good in the afternoon. Very refreshing!

They seem to enjoy Our little Celebration. I always do this at least once while staying here at Casa Cenote.
Just a little way to say Gracias for taking care of us. As always they have that great big Maya Smile that we love so much.

Well the day has past and we are into the evening and the guys are lighting the torches on the beach. It is so Kewl, the atmosphere is very calming at Casa Cenote. Especially in the evening. We are thinking about dinner as we have done nothing but laz around all day and that can make you really hugary. Rubin, do you have Langosta? See Senor Bill we have Langosta. Please make two orders, Al mojo de ajo Por Favor. When they arrive at the table i am amazed at the quanity. But being the Lobster person that I am I devour every bite with gusto. That is a great way to serve Lobster. The food is always so good. We are going to gain much weight once again while we are here.
After dinner we have a few drinks with Peggy and Gary and befor we know it, it is closing time and the guys are ready to hit the road. Gary begs off and take them home. We return to our abode in Casitas #2 which is the one we call ours from last June. We will probably stay in this one anytime we stay at Casa Cenote. At least until they get the second floor suites completed in the next year or so. The suites will be really kewl. They are to have a Large bedroom with King Size bed, two baths, and a large sitting room on the second floor about the two casitas below. This will be a fantastic place to stay when this happens. They are now using wind, solar and generator back up for their power. But progress is just around the corner and electricity is to be in in August. Time will tell. When the electricity is in then the Suites will have A/C and then it will be more desireable to more people. We still enjoy the remoteness that is about to be a gone forever thing. But until then we just are happy to have this chance to enjoy.......

This has been a good day in a good neighborhood. By the way Carole of Casa Tropical...... the neighborhood is growing as I know you know. I wish it would not but it is. They are building two sets of Condos a couple of lots north of Casa Cenote to my dismay. But progress is progress. Since there has been little rain the road is in pretty good shape. The Cenote seems to be getting more and more pressure and it is becoming like other places along the coast. To much pressure. Trash is being left by the Mayo Gringos that are visiting to my dismay..... What is wrong with people. By the way I lump all visitors into the Gringo category as I can not single out one as it seems that they are like here in the States, just plain Lazy.... If you can bring it then you can take it.
Please everyone don't Lay that Trash on The QRoo.........www.bill-in-tulsa.com
Good night and see you tomorrow Amigos....
