Hi Suzanne Married life is great! Over 2 years now, yay! We just bought a new house, so we're having fun with remodeling and such. Hopefully I'll be able to convince the hubby to come down sometime next year.. My dad still owes us tickets to come down, so maybe one day I'll be able to take him up on it
It's good to see the pictures of the kids! They're too cute. I can't believe that Max was born the last time I was down.. it's been too long... too bad I have to worry about a job, haha. |

Looking south at the unspoiled/undeveloped beach 7kg N of Xcalak. You just can't find this kind of stuff anywhere else. I even hate to post pics 'cuz people will see how unspoiled it is and want to come down.
Can't wait to come back....

An active archeological dig at Dzibanche. So cool. We walked around from the back side of the pyramid and saw these guys working. Other than them we were the only ones there. Look at the tree growing out the side of the pyramid.

A roasted Tepezcuintle. They can sometimes be purchased on the side of Hwy. 307 on your way to Xcalak. Just look for the lady holding up the catch of the day.

Here is the Tepezcuintle before roasting. They actually harbor serveral parasites.

Ugh on the parasites. I ate some once; the person who gave it to me told me it was cochinita pibil. Then I noticed some tiny little rib bones....Well, I'm still here so it probably wasn't infected. |
