I apologize for not getting this up earlier but my Internet connection has not been working correctly for the last few days. The repair guys have been here a couple of times and now assure me it is working correctly. That's what they said the last time.
It's pouring rain. The kids are up and I've already been to the store for ice and beer. We really want to head over to the other side of the island but don't want to get to wet on the way to the car. The kids blow bubbles while we wait for a lull in the storm.
The rain lets up a little and we run to the car. The streets are flooded in town. There must be at least 8" of water in the streets. Drainage around here is very bad. The rain is coming down very hard but when we get to the east side it quits.
Some of the best shelling is found a little south of Senior Iguanas. There must be an opening in the reef that allows the shells to wash up on this section on beach.
Next stop is Playa Bonita for a few drinks and let the kids play.
I've been considering building a palapa for my deck at home. They are easy to construct. My brother built one in Wisconsin using something similar to a pampas grass for the roof. It lasted two winters with the snow.
Stopped at El Mirador for a little while.
I was going to have them walk down to the natural Jacuzzi but they were tired and hot. They just wanted to play in the water here.
Enough of the water and sun. They just wanted to go to Burger King then back home.
