Hi All,
I am looking to purchase a home in a gated community or a condo
between Playa del Carmen and as far south as a 20 minute drive
to Tulum. The reason I would like a gated community for the house is that
it will remain unoccupied most of the year. I am concerned about
petty theft or damage in my absence. I am willing to spend up to $650,000
and am leaving for Mexico to start looking this Saturday the 23rd.
Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for your efforts. |

Not really sure that being in a gated community will stop petty thieft. A well managed condo complex will be just as good in my opinion.
