What about families with kids?
Although we cater to adult couples and small groups, kids are always welcome at Playa Sonrisa. However, please consider that very young children may be difficult to entertain here, and will require your constant supervision since our grounds, beach and dock are not "kid proofed".

We target mid-May thru June as Kid's Season mainly to increase the chances of peer encounters. During this period American Style beach practices prevail.

But please realize that our very remote location does impose a few challenges and creates just a bit of the feeling of "roughing it". Primarily, there is no electricity along this stretch of coast yet. And while we are self-sufficient with a 20 Kw generator to run our lights and air conditioning and keep the ice frozen for our margaritas, (yeah, roughing it!), we do ask that you leave the electric curling irons & blow dryers at home. And almost everything else you normally pack on vacation, too. Pack lightly, the dress code is ultra casual and relaxed - so that you will be too!
